Thanks to exciting lectures in the areas of management fundamentals (business studies & economics), basic soft skills (speaking & project management) as well as industry-specific focus points, the bachelor provides you with a strong management basis with individual focus. For example, lectures are offered in the areas of digital business, data science or software engineering.

If you are studying Information Systems, your studies will be strongly oriented towards the current industry changes with consulting projects, workshops and experienced lecturers from the business world. You will develop new skills and implement them through internships in Germany or abroad.

What exactly does a Data Scientist do?

Studying business information systems means not only acquiring business and computing knowledge, but also understanding structures and processes on an international level. In order to prepare you for an international career as a business informatics specialist, this business informatics program includes:

  • intensive language training with English as the lecture language
  • an integrated semester abroad at one of around 190 partner universities, and
  • an optional second semester abroad.

How can I apply for the Bachelor of Information Systems?

To gain entry to the Information Systems course you can simply register for an entrance test at ISM which asseses your abilities, motivation and personality. In order to study information systems at ISM, our university conducts an online entrance exam. A specific numerus clausus (NC) is not required. The online exam tests your mathematics and English skills as well as your motivation to study, while we also learn about your personality and your abilities. The admission process also includes an online interview with ISM faculty staff.
