A Study Abroad Semester at the ISM

The ISM campuses offer you an international atmosphere with a growing number of exchange students coming to the ISM every year. At the ISM, you can study in international teams and meet students from all over the world.

If you would like to apply as an exchange student, you need to give short notice to the ISM’s 中国足球彩票手机版 Office and to your home institution’s international office, so that we can jointly organize your exchange semester with us. If you are not a student of a partner university, please contact the 中国足球彩票手机版 Office of the ISM online. In both cases, please use the online application form and fill in your personal data and tell us what information you require.

Academic Calender

The ISM offers two semesters per academic year:

winter term: September - December
spring term: March - June

Winter Term 2024/25

Will start on Monday, September 16th and will end on Friday, December 20st, 2024.
Your exams will take place within the two last weeks of the semester.
The Orientation Day (online) takes place on Friday, September 13th, 2024. This is mandatory for all international exchange students.
We offer a German Intensive Course (online) that will take place prior to semester start, from August 26th until September 12th, 2023.

Spring Term 2025

Will start on Monday, March 17th and will end on Friday, June 20st, 2025. Your exams will take place within the two last weeks of the semester.
We offer an Orientation Day on on Friday, March 14th, 2025. This is mandatory for all international students.
We offer a German Intensive Course (online) that will take place prior to semester start, from February 17th until March 7th, 2025.
